With two decades of varied experience in beautiful northwestern Ontario, including education, family support, mental health, and community development, I have developed a passion for supporting individuals who have lived through trauma and adversity. I am inspired by the resilience, creativity, and courage of my friends and colleagues in Wabaseemoong Independent Nations, and strive to bring a wholistic, culturally-attuned, client-centred approach to the healing process and therapeutic relationship.
Specialties
Trauma & Complex Trauma
For those living with the ongoing legacy of trauma, whether that be the impact of a traumatic event or ongoing early-life trauma, the healing journey is a sacred process of discovery and growth. Through thoughtful collaboration and an individualized approach, I work with clients to help them resolve trauma and to chart a path towards the life they envision.
If you feel stuck in a state of anxiety or depression, there is hope for healing. Like many other challenges, anxiety and depression can be related to ongoing nervous system dysregulation. Stress and trauma can create an ongoing experience of heightened anxiety or the shut-down experience of depression, or both. I work with clients to develop an individual approach to nervous system regulation and healing, while working together to find meaning within the struggle and pain.

Grief & Loss
While loss is a normal part of life, it can impact each of us in different ways. We may feel overwhelmed or unable to move forward within our new normal. If you find yourself in this reality, there is hope. With support, your grieving journey can take on meaning and you can find a way towards a more hopeful future. This process is unique for each person, and I work with each client to define their own process and find a path forward at their own pace.
